Once the goals of your site are determined, we will begin structuring and gathering information. You may have a multitude of resources at hand to make this job easier, brochures, articles, catalogs, etc. We will structure the site around the content and information you provide then move on to categorizing the information. This process is critical and the tedium will be more than worth it in the end.

Design & Development

You may have a definite idea of how you want your site to look. Then again, you may not have considered this at all. This is where the fun begins. We will help you decide what image you would like to present. Page style will project the feel of the site, heavy and bold, light and airy, feminine, masculine, retro, modern, traditional, innovative, the choices are endless. Color will be a consideration, graphics and use of space as well. The style you choose will reflect the image you project to the world. We will help you create that image.

Digital Photography

We offer digital photography services, specializing in detailed photos of beads and art. Other types of photography are available as well. View the samples in the portfolio of the Dakini sites as well as Wild Things Beads for some examples of photos we have taken. We also optimize and color correct submitted photos if needed. Optimization is critical for keeping download time to a minimum on your website.

Domain Registration
& Hosting

The domain name you choose is critical. This will be the first impression when presenting your site. If you do not already have a domain name registered, we can help you in this area. After registering your domain, you will need a company to host your website. This is the behind the scenes technical end. We can make suggestions on companies we have found reliable, or you can research and decide upon one yourself.

Website Maintenance

As the site is being built, we will keep in mind future maintenance requirements. You will ultimately want to keep your content fresh and interesting for your customers. We can suggest ways to minimize costs in this area. Whether we build your site and continue to maintain the content, or hand it over to you for your own trained staff to upload changes, it will be structured in a way that is optimized for ease of maintenance.

Search Engine
Optimization

Optimizing pages to rank well when users search the web using keywords in search engines (Yahoo, Google, etc.) is a challenging task. There are as many methods as there are search engines. We constantly research the newest techniques. When we design your pages, we will integrate in the code the means for others to easily find you through search engines. Once your site is launched, you can also hire us to submit your site to the search engines. You may choose to do that yourself, whether you do it or we do, it is an important step in announcing your site to the world.
